The shanty group, Kemysk Warbarth won the Song in Cornish Class at Camborne Music Festival 24. This group was formed after an initiative by the Committee of Agan Tavas. The song that they decided to perform, in Cornish of Course, was The Farewell Shanty. A new cup for this class was presented which had been given in memory of the late Tony Piper who had worked tirelessly for Cornish culture. It is hoped that this new singing group will go on to do other things.
